    My worst wipeout ever

Doing a couple of speed runs today. Went down the cove. Sitting there waiting for the wakes to stop, and a boat comes into the cove comes half way down then turns around and leaves. I wait another minute or so and take off. I get into superman and am watching the gps, at around 65 mph I hit a leftover wake. I bounce to the left side of the ski and I realize that there is no way to save it, so I release and the rag dolling begins. I must of skipped 7 or 8 times. Lost my Oakleys. I wear Under Armour shorts and boxer briefs to ride since they don't absorb water. In case you are wondering UA shorts do not float. Shorts were ripped off and boxer briefs were below my knees (I was so close to "Riding Dirty"). The foam was ripped out of my new Body Glove neoprene vest. The ski ends up about 75 yards away. Two guys on brand new 06 RXT's that I had raced and smoked just 20 minutes earier happen to enter the cove as the wreck occurs. One guys says to me when he pulls up, "I didn't know big guys could skip like that". I have a severe headache and my hip is throbbing.

It probably would have killed a lesser man. I might be big but I've got a lot of muscle so i think that helped. It would take serious money to get me to do that on purpose. I'm talking like $5,000 and all medical. Worst part is its a quiet cove and if I would have been seriously hurt and no one was there, trouble. I'll think twice about water conditions before I superman again. I've been thrown from horses, fell down steps, fell off a 8 ft. embankment and flipped, and played college football and have never been jarred that bad. Guess it was a good thing that I basically rolled off the side of the ski into the water and bounced along rather than getting some air before I hit.

    Glad you are okay!

Superman is a BAD BAD BAD habit that we ALL need to break.

I did superman and hit a wake and I looked like I was doing a superman on a motorcycle were the bike is way under you. Needless to say I landed back on my balls and will never do it again.

Glad your alive....may not be feeling so hot but your here to talk about it.

It can get kinda squirrally with the slightest bit of wake and getting back in normal position at that speed from superman can be real tough. ( especially on the jewels )

I know your probably in pain and not in any mood to joke but could you imagine if you lost your boxer briefs and the UA shorts??? Wow, your lucky..
