. You should'nt have to touch your thermostat lines when installing the IC. Sounds like you hooke something up wrong.

Something is not right!! Oil has nothing to do with the IC or T-Stat. If the engine oil and coolant look the same you have a severe problem. Dont run it till you figure it out and by all means dont just plug that line.

Post up some pics so we can see what you are looking at.

Actualy, I'm thinking something with the oil cooler. If he somehow hooked up the cooling lines to the oil cooler wrong and over pressurised it it could cause it to leak and mix the oil and water. Although there is no reason to mess with any of this when installing an IC.

If this did happen.... You shouldn't be working on your own ski! wow...

anyways... Now that coolant is in oil.. You need to watch your main bearings and such.. they could be toast if you ran it long enough with coolant in oil... my bet is headgasket.. minus the hookin up wrong part

If it was coolant in your oil then it will turn to a goo and will require a lot of cleanup. If it was saltwater or even fresh water you better get the oil changed right away and do it several times.
I am wondering if the oil cooler lines were messed with during the install rather then the exhaust manifold line.
