    Round 4 GPRXP build begins

Thats right I have found the major pieces to build my fourth GPRXP. If you dont know My first one was a 2003 GPR with a stage 2+ 2005 rxp motor My second one was built for Arny it was a 2003 GPR with a stage 3+ 2005 rxp motor. My third was build for myself but sold it to RXPVIC it was a 2004 gpr with a 2005 rxp motor it too was a stage 3+. Well now I scored a 2001 GPR hull with some goodies and a 2005 RXT motor this is going to be a stage 2-3 set up. Stage 3 sc with 42 injectors and xs IC stock ECU. 2005 pump Riva ride plate modified by Jim I am stealing of the wifes ski dont tell her. The ski came with a riva 1200 grate. I will post some pictures soon...... I will do the usuall stuff for the GPR For some reason I always wind up with 2005 rxp motors Oh well

In the past I have gone with Ted's shaft set up I am going with addiacted shaft set up this time I think if he will make me one of his set ups

looking for a high 80 mph ski.

I have noticed some guys using the yamaha waer box what does it take to install any advantage? Also noticed no J-pipe any advantage there besides being able to get sc out with out any issues?

What happened to my old builds?

I got rid of the j-pipe and went straight, i did notice a bit better take off, besides that it looks cleaner(to me) and the s/c can be removed easier. i'm also using addicted's shaft system and haven't had any issues.. Anyways, good to hear another conversion is been build!

sweet! If you are definately using my shaft, read through the threads before you remove the midwall. The part that holds the bearing needs to stay in place. everything else can be removed if desired. Hull cuts and motor location is the same as Mark's mounts. There are some threads here on the 08+ exhaust, AKA the x-pipe.

Yep using your shaft/mounts. I have been reading about the straight pipe set up still trying to decide the cost is about the same.

I have noticed lately that alot of the conversions are putting the battery in front of the motor. Why? Wouldnt you want all the weight in the back of the ski? here is a picture of the old setup did on one of my old skis. Is there a reason not to do this?

my thought process was the water box on one side and the IC and battery on the other keep all the heavy stuff in back.

If you are going to run closed loop cooling it gets tight in the back.

yes it gets verrrrrrry tight running closed loop. I have my battery mounted in stock gpr battery box currently because I wanted weight more towards the back
