    MoTeC kit for 250/260x

R&D on the MoTeC M400 kit for the Kawi is coming along nicely. The configuration is almost complete and we still have a few small issues to sort through to make the conversion perform as the OEM electronics. We will be updating the forum to keep all of you informed.

Welcome to GH Andy. Do you know roughly the cost will be for this setup?

    Not yet but soon 260X
Close second is a FZR but at the moment a 260X is winning hands down for me that is.

I am setting up Bumble Bee to try crack 93mph which i don t think i will but i can try then the ski is for sale i want to go back to a ocean/rouff water ski not after all the speed anymore comfort and ocean/enduro racing that what i am for get back into racing.

Trying to hold a GPRXP in a 30min enduro is hard hard work that much power on a light ski not getting younger body really hurts.

I ll be talking to you when i get one trust me lol lol

Yes i actually work for MoTeC in the USA. We are developing the kits with the AU guys as one congruent effort. It will be my responsibility to support the US customers and to support the dealers who sell our product.

What i mean about coming along nicely is as far as the fuel and timing maps are concerned, they are pretty much sorted out for the bone stock setup. Any mods from the stock configuration, even as simple as the air inlet will require some amount of tuning. There has been some talk about offering different maps for different upgrades but i believe that is best left to be tuned by the individuals themselves as everyone's combination will be different.

We in the US have seen a slight difference in the the tune up as compared to what the Aussies are doing. Probably due to the difference in the fuels between the two countries.

As far as price goes, it is MoTeC's goal to keep all the kits for the different manufacturers as close as possible. This can be difficult to do as each kit requires different components to make it work properly with the OEM electronics. The biggest hurdle is trying to communicate properly with the OEM dash. They all communicate differently and it is a bit of a job to make it all work correctly. No form pricing for the Kawi kit has been established yet but as soon as it is released i will make an announcement here.
