    Tiny Tach Help!

Well i just installed my tiny tach and it's not working properly. It seems ridiculous since it's only a 2 wire hookup, but the rpm's don't go over 2500ish even at WOT. Any ideas? I ordered a 3 cyl one so unless they sent me the wrong one, i'm pretty stumped.

You need to get the commercial version its like $65. I had the cheaper one and had the same problem. I sent them an email and they said send it back and I am getting the better one.

I know its suggested that you wrap the wire around all 3 spark plug wires towards the back of the ski. If the standard 6 foot length long enough to do so?

Yes you wrap them around them nearest to the CDI box. The standard version of the tiny tach doesn't keep up with the ski RPMs and constantly shows 2500rpms. So you need to get the commercial version.

the cdi box it towards the rear of the ski, right? Like where the spark plug wires come from? So you're saying there is no need to have any extra wire length?

No you dont need the extra wiring length. You wrap them around where the spark plug wires become black. Yes near the rear of the ski.

wtf is the point of them selling a product that doesn't work? is there any chance i can get this thing to work or am i going to have to try to return it and get the "commercial" version? I ordered it from atlantic jet sports, are these guys difficult to deal with?
