Jet Ski Fishing
My first post here. My name is Dusty from Norfolk, Va. I have a question for u guys. I know that might sound crazy but I am looking for Jet Ski Fishing so that mean i want a bigger jet ski like big room, alot of storage and long distance. So I am told by some guys that Sea Doo Wake have it all? Which model or years of Sea Doo Wake do u guys think better for fishing?

the wake is ajust an rxt or gtx with fillable ballast to create wake and spotter bars/ ski rope pylon. ive seen guys mount up coolers and all sorts of shit to fish on the back of an rxt. an rxt or gtx will get you to your fav spot fast and is very stable to move around on. the rear deck is enough foor a 10 gallon cooler and their is ton of storage up front under the hood.
just my $0.02
welcome to the forum by the way

Dusty, welcome to the forum.
I made the last post on this thread today, which, by chance, is about your topic (somewhat). Good luck and let me know if you have any questions.

Yamaha SUV is your best bet for a monster ski to do fishing from. you can actually store your loaded rods in the storage on each side.
The downside to the SUV is that it is over 4ft wide, and requires it's own trailer. You can setup a double, but you need a good wide double to put another ski on it. Oside Bill has one with his gpr loaded.

Hello and welcome to the forum.
I have an RXT that I have taken fishing several times and worked out great. Here is my setup. Cooler tied down with bimini hardware and a Berkley rod holder on the back. The front storage of my 06 is huge!
Good luck and have fun!

The SUV is a huge beast. If you did get a RXT or GTX get an 06 or older because in 07 they did away with the integrated front storage bucket which i think was a bonehead move by BRP. Like Gus said my RXT has 52 gallons of washable storage up front that you could easily throw 20lbs of ice and a dozen 24" fish in. Then again the yamaha SUV could store a trophy marlin. The RXT or GTX will just get you there 10 times faster and in more style.
