If not the wear ring...what can it be...?
Came back from the keys today after a few days over there. Tried out the new wear ring since I was down about 100-150rpms and Im still down! Any ideas? Could I have messed the pitch of the prop trying to take the nose cone off?
It's BS because if Im running solo it will not go past 7950...when Im with my girl it hits 8000
Can one of the bolts holding the pump nozzle that lost a bit of thread and it;s not tightening up right cause this loss of rpm? Other than that I don't have a clue.
It's still holding the 69.4 mph...

Geo If you are talking about the bolt in the venturi noozle that would not cause the loss but it does need to be repaired and you are not going to change the pitch taking off the impeller boot. You should first check oil level and make sure it is okay and then maybe check plugs if not these you might need to check the slip point of the SC clutch.

So everyone agrees with to change the plugs then?.... I was thinking maybe the water temp was high as hell...probably close to 90 deg.

No takers on the high water temp being the reason of lost rpms? It was low channel too, about 4'-5'.
