Question Riva Wedge vs normal VTS setting

Does the wedge really do any speed difference in this scenario?

Riva Wedge and Trim at middle

    vs

No Wedge and Trim +1 or +2 bars

    thanks....

Really just trying to see if the wedge is worth it on an rxp

    ...

one i got my wedge my ski is fastest all the way down! when i trim up half way i loose 1.5 mph and when i trim up all the way i loose 2.5/3mph
you better gps it because the ski feels faster trimmed up due to the way it rides but it is in fact slower (on my ski anyways) i guess when you trim the nozzle twisting and redirecting the water flow actualy kills thrust or something

I have an RXP wedge for sale if anyone wants it. Should work on the RXT too. I liked it for the time I had it. Took it off just because I felt the ski bit in turns a little better without it and now I dont have to mess with the trim as much out of the hole and in chop.

No bounce at all with ride plate mod. Also ride at Hwy 50 around corners with it up. Before wedge, and rideplate mod it was fastest 1 click above
    half.

    Rex,

If you sell your wedge to a three seater they need a couple of parts that I have. I will give you. Also, to get the most out of a wedge you need
the xtension rod to be able to adjust the trim.

Thanks. I'll let you know if anyone wants to buy it. I haven't had any bites on it in over a month. Not much of a wanted item I guess. I never tried the extension rod. Without it on hole shots I had to trim all the way down and get all my weight over the bars then trim is back up to a click or 2 above neutral. Without the wedge I can launch in neutral without the ski wanting to rocket out of the water and cavitate. Much easier not having to mess with the trim.

Here's the link to the wedge I have for sale. http://www.greenhulk.net/forums/show...01#post1155301
