got my ski all together and finally got some numbers.
98F air temp
94F water temp
less then 6" chop
@ sea level
70.7 avg @7190 RPM
I dont think their are anymore "cheap" bolt on mods i can do except have my ride plate moded. I think I can gain about 3 mph by having it moded. If im correct avg. gain is 1.5 mph? reason i think i can get the extra 1.5 mph is because in the center at the rear of the ski there is a large indention. It came from R&D like this, You can easily see it when looking at the ride plate and when you rub your hand over it it is about 2" diameter on the plate. moderatly deep. i didnt gainmuch over the stock when i put it on i think it was around .7 mph give or take.

Good speeds...two cheap mods for you. Put the sound suppression box back in (freeflow was about a 50rpm loss on my ski) and put a 3 degree keyway in and gain at least 1mph.....that should put you at 7300rpms ...then you can pitch up a little and gain even more mph That along with modding your rideplate and you could be at 75mph+
How many rpms did you gain after the vf3 reeds? It should feel much better now.

Did you match the reed stuffers (white peices) when you installed the reeds? You should have gained about 100rpms. Whats your efi settings?
Your compression is probably around 145-150lbs, you shouldn't need the free flow until your way higher. You should gain 30-50rpm when you put the sound suppression back in. Just make sure you run premium fuel and you will be fine. I beleive its mainly the 1200 engines that benefit more from a freeflow.
The "keyway" is the flywheel key thats on the crankshaft. When you install an off set keyway, it advances the timing. Its a job to put it in, but its only about a $50 part, for 50-60rpm. Gives better accleration and close to .5mph.

yes i did match them, my previous rpm reading was in 82 degree weather, this recent one was in 98 degree weather so thats why im thinking i only gained 60.
my efi is out of whack. its 5516. i need to adjust because when crusing at 5500 and then going to wot it bogs for a secound. i usually have a flat ehad with me to adjust but didnt so i wasnt able to mess with it much. i tried my finger nail but it wasnt long enough and ripped up.
