1996 sl700 stator harness
Dose any one no the right harness routing for the stator wiring, under the engine, by the stater than streight back??????? any pictures, directions, anything that would help would be great... bought the machine torn apart
putting updated ignition system in... PLEASE HELP..

yup straight back under the motor mount under the drive shaft too.

On my 96 SL700's ,the harness runs around the front cover ( down low.under the oil pump) then joines the other wires on the right side of the hull,there are 2 clips that hold the harnesses. Then back to the electrical box (also on the right side )

Your best bet is to run the harness in the route that is the safest and cleanest position as possible. Away from and moving parts. Such as the drive shaft and especially the oil pimp. Get it caught at the oil pump and it will cease to pump. So just route it carefully. Use ties too if you wish.
