    Keeping the Splash Gaurd on.....

Ok so I am on my second splash gaurd and it let loose this past weekend. It lasted a hell of a lot longer than the first install. Last install the rubber of the gaurd ripped in half at each of the rivets leaving the rivets intact. On the second install they riveted the gaurd between the rub rail and the hull and it lasted a few weeks but this time the rivets themselves snapped in two. Are there any kind pf maybe stronger rivets that they can use that will hold up better. I think the rubrail is the way to go just need rivets that can hold up to the strain.

You have to make sure it is glued to the hull as well.

Throw the rivets away and use some pan head stainless steel screws.

I put screws every 4" on mine.

Two Good Ideas. I think I'll use them both combined. I would give up on the gaurd but it helps way too much for that.
