    PWC floating dock

I'm thinking of purchasing a PWC floating dock, install it out back and off we go at any moment of the day.

Does anybody on this forum use them or know of someone who has one?

    Pros? Cons?

I have a great spot for one but unsure if a PWC floating dock is simply a gimmick.

EZ Dock Looks to be the best IMO. Nice rollers and keeps ski out of the water totally.

    Pros Easy launching

    Cons

Pain in the ass to flush the ski. Im a clean freak so I use a davit and put it on land to flush it and to clean it up all pretty.

The views are awesome. Over looking Buzzards Bay in Fairhaven (West Island) MA. The only real issue is the shore line is surrounded by rocks. I have a section back there that would best suit a floating dock which is why I'm considering this.

My wife thinks I'm nuts - but don't they all?

We built the deck support coming off the house foundation (notice the arch?). We're also at the highest part of the street which saved us alot of $$ not having to build on stilts.

Earls Marina is about 1/2 mile up the street which is where I dock the ski, but like anything, I want it in my backyard. Kinda like wanting a beer and not wanting to get off your seat (I'll drink to that)

Only thing id worrie about would be how ruff does your lake get? If it gets ruff you might want to find a way you can pull it on to the sore instead. If your a good handman you could build a track system with a winch.

Here's some pictures of my buddy's rental ski. After a long Offshore ride, I park my ski in one of the floating dock and have a Beer with my Buds before I go home. They are great I can flush my ski and pre rinse it before I get it home and do the detailed clean-up. FYI the location of this spot is inside the harbor and protected from rough water. hope the pictures help.

you won't have a problem flushing if you are using the docks that jammer shows, you could just about fit another ski behind his ski!

i rent a floating dock for my ski every year while on vacation. they work well, just make sure you get the correct size for your ski or the butt will hang off the end!

    Nice area,
I grew up a few miles north of you,(New Bedford) and spent many weekends on West Island.
Is the Bayside bar still open?
It was located on Sconticut Neck Rd, not too far off Rt 6.

fr you, you need ot consider what you are going to mount it too?? a dock?? a bulkhead??
or just free floating near your beach?
and how rough does it get, you need pretty sheltered water for this to be safe, or be able to move ski and dock out of the water quickly if storms roll in and threated to break loose the setup.
i woud not recommend it unless you can attach to some pilings or bulkhead or existing floating dock, and are reasonably sheltered.
btw i have 6 ezports, some off a bulkhead some off a floating dock, all are sheltered, only problem i would have would be massive storm surge from a hurricane floating the ezports higher than my suppport brackets allow, thus breaking them loose, and we dont get surges that high often in jersey.
