If not in the EFI setup, you better check for an air leak.

i'm pretty sure that would be an air leak, as mentioned before

as soon as I start it,it revs wide open .would it have to be abig air leak for this to happen or would alittle leak cause it to revs retardedly?don't want to pull it apart unless I am sure that air leak is prob.

If it is running away at start up you have a sizeable leak, what happens when you shut it off does it continue to run?

I pull the tether and it shuts down .I am thinking that imust have messed up somewhere aruond the balance plate gaskets or the stuffer,as this seemed tricky as I had too hold the whole asembly up so it wouldn't slide down as I slide down as I slid the bolts in.

I got six long bolts and cut the heads off, then screwed them in on the side of each reed opening. Then I slid my gaskets, reeds etc on using these as guides, once I got the whole stack up on and started the rest of the bolts I removed these and and installed the remaining six bolts.

That sounds like it would work good to use the bolts as hangers I will do that next time.I remember the gasket had to be trimmed because of the balance plate the gasket was kind of hanging over maybe that's were its screwed up.I have been wide open on other things this might be a winter project again.
