93 sl650 flushing is not working

I think something is clogging up the flush line, probably sand.
I hook up the hose and nothing comes out while the engine is running. when I pull the hose back off there is a ton of pressure.

since it will likely mean pulling apart the exhaust system, which I will wait for Utica to do...my question is, if not the flush line itself being clogged, what part of the engine could be clogged, and what could it be doing to the engine as far as damage, performance, etc?

also, should I buy some gaskets or something for when I pull all of this apart? I want to grab some stuff for Utica if so.

Are you sure the water coupling between your garden hose and the engine is actually opening up and able to flow water into the engine?

Are you using the Polaris reverse flush kit, or aftermarket?

your service manual links are not working, but the 93 sl650 has a flush hose already installed.

I will see if I can find a diagram for it.

here it is, inlet circled in red...as for your question about if I am certain about coupling opening up, I have no idea. how would I go about determining that?

is it possible I am simply a moron and this "inlet" is actually a drain? if so, where would the inlet be? I do not see anyplace else to attach a hose.

The Reverse Flush garden hose adapter was an option, so it is not present on many machines.

I am not as familiar with the cooling hose routing on the early Fuji models, but the normal cooling water inlet feed from the jet pump is on the right side of the jet pump base (when looking forward from the rear of the ski), down low on the right side, beside the intake tunnel.

If you just want to water cool the engine while running it on the trailer, you can disconnect the 3/4" cooling water inlet hose, attach a 'garden hose to 3/4" hose barb adapter', and connect your garden hose there.

This will simulate the normal cooling water flow through your engine, as if you were in the water.

Don't run the engine for more than a minute or so on the hose, as the drive shaft and jet pump seals are not cooled by the garden hose.

    Sequence is always;
    Engine on, THEN water on
    Water off, THEN engine off

Also not familiar with the 93 set-up, I wouldn't worry about it unless you have been riding in real shallow areas. I know the cooling was changed after '93. I have to find the 93 upgrade kit I bought awhile back.I think it was a cooling upgrade kit. I only bought it because I've never seen one befrore,If I can it's yours free.

I wondering how can you reverse flush it against the thermostat and bypass?

I will wait for Utica, maybe if enough people look at it we can figure it out.

I am going to stop tinkering with this thing until then, since I have reached the limit of my comfort zone anyway.

The older flush hose on the case gets plugged with sand a crap as it has no where to go.

so does that mean I need to pull the exhaust to get to the other end of the hose or is there some fancy dancy green hulk super tip that might get me to unplugged flush hose nirvana?
