When is the waterbox mod a good idea?

I am sure it is a thought on everyones mind, but when does everyone think that is needed, or at what point to you need to be at to see gains and not hurt performance?

    Thanks

    David

I was told whenever you port your head you should do it. I did it way before that though and didn't notice any gains from it.

I didn't notice an increase in sound as I already had the free flow at the time.

I did the free flow and waterbox mod at the same time. When I swapped out the free flow for the power pipe, strangely enough I thought it got a little quieter if not just the same.
