How Much More Should I Shim the Ride Plate?

I wasn't getting any response in the free mods section so I'll just start one specifically for my problem. I removed the spacer between the ride plate and hull. I took it out and porpoised like a mutha F'r. I shimmed it a bit but havent taken it out yet to try. The pic of my current shim job is below. Do I want the plate to be completely flush and level with the metal piece in front of it or do I want it slightly raised? I do only shim the front two bolts correct?

did you measure the thickness of the metal plates you removed as the shims will be replacing some of that thickness, if it were me, id start with that.

looks to me like your plate is tucked way too far in. I would be closer to flush without creating drag.

Added another stainless washer. Might need one more smaller one. What do you think?

my thought would be to get it as close to flush WITHOUT going past and causing a lip. that would scrub speed and you dont need that.

Id do another washer, looks like you can use one more and that may do it. Then you can work on the back bolts and shim for speed or handling.

Ya looks like one more will do it. Are other people shimming the back two bolts?
