there a way to make wear rings last longer??

I totasted a wear ring in like 3 hrs with my new stage one.. I was doing blasts out of the hole, and trying to get gps readings.. like 3 hrs later cativation.. so I flip the ring over and worked perfectly.. the ring only had like a 1mm of wear, but I guess thats enough.. anyway to prevent eating a $50 part so fast??

I have 90+ hours on my stainless wear ring. Its sure worth the $248 Skat Trak charges for them.

Now inorder to get that stainless steel wear ring. Don't you have to have Skat Trak redo your whole pump with the triple bearings?

No, you dont have to do the tripple bearing mod. I ran for 30-40 hours with the SS wear ring and no pump mod.

If you do the front engine mount then you probably wont have to mess with the pump at all according to Franco Dettori.

    Question

Now that I have my solid mount I do feel more vibration. From what I`ve read this is common. I want to do the ss wear ring now. Question is, Should I re-align the motor and pump? Has anyone found them to be off by any "critical" amount?

I used the motor alignment tool from seadoo...There was alot of vibrations @ about the 3500-4500 range...Aligning the motor helped but alot of the vibration I think was actually from a combo of the rotax mount..And the fact that I installed the UMI steering...Aperantly it also enhances vibrations in the ski...

The engine alignment tool Is available @ most dealers but I don't think it is cheap tool...you are better of getting a dealer to do it if you don't want to purchase the tool yourself...It took Mark and I about half an hour to do it..So don't pay a dealer for more than an hr shop labour...
