    polaris freedom 2004 stator, cdi,coils,wires

    Is there anywhere i can buy a kid for changing stator cdi and so one. relly dont know if it is my stator, ignition coil, or cdi, that is bugging me.

    It starts great. and idle fine. but if you try to give it some gas it just sound bad. allmost like theres not enough power on the plugs, mabye kind off a small backfire,

    changed: plugs, iginition wire.

    thx

    Click the link below, and follow it to find this;
    How to test CDI, Magneto stator coils & Hall Effect sensors on domestic engines

    While you can not test the CDI directly, but you can test everything connected around it. If the stator and ignition coils test OK, then the CDI becomes the prime suspect.

    Parts sources are also listed from the links.

    BTW, kids are expensive

    at the stator coil ohm test. i got one result a bit out of what it shut be.
    here are my results.

    black to engine ground: get's 4ohm.
    but should be less than 1ohm could that be a problem?
    black to purple 5.5 ohm
    yellow to red/purple 0.75 ohm
    yellow or red/purple to engine block, no connection.

    That Black stator wire to engine ground is the main ground connection for the entire electrical box, and also the return path for the spark ignition coils.

    It is important that it be a solid, low resistance electrical connection.

    Where on the engine were you touching?

    Check the electrical box end of the Black wire for corrosion, damage inside the wire insulation, or any other signs of damage.

    If that all seems good, you may need to pull the flywheel and investigate the stator end of that ground connection.

    Although your other low ohm numbers are very close to spec, have a look at this;
    My ohm-meter measurements don't exactly agree with the service manual specifications. Is this OK?
