    787 flywheel removal

    Hi a friend of mine gave me a 787 engine, I dont know how to take the flywheel off! Any help is greatly thanked in advance!

    u have to find a socket to fit the nut on the front, 27 or 28mm? something like that , then u have to find a way to lock the crankshaft in place. A flywheel lock from seadoo , or someone holding the pto on the back of the motor works just fine to( the peice that the drive shaft slides into) .......after u take the nut and lock washer off you have to get a flywheel puller and remove the flywheel. Ive found that a flywheel puller for a car is to big. A steering wheel puller works great though you might have to heat up the flywheel around the crankshaft with a torch to get it to pop off, nto always though
