SHO "shutters" after new mods. Help!

Well I got the Riva B wheel installed along with the powershot (left to factory defaults).

When I started it up on the hose it runs fine at an idle.

When I rev it up slowly, it starts shuttering (sounds like it's near the intake of the motor, the motor itself and compressor seem to be running smooth). It has done it at different RPM ranges.

At first I thought it was my intake, since I'm running R&D's plenum filter and everyone else has the RIVA. I took the airbox off and it still did it

I'm just hoping it's the compresser surging since there is nowhere for the air to go (fuel usage was less than 2 gal/hr). BOV is going on whenever the RIVA I/C gets here.

    Is this normal?

I just checked the hose going to the MAP sensor (If that's what you're talking about) and it's good.

Yes, the reverse gate was down. Does that effect it?

Could be- like I said it's running on the powershot now, but it was fine before, maybe I'll try taking it off and see...

Yeah, I did. I put a lot on it, but didn't measure for the 80 ft lbs... I just tried to move it with a rod thru the nozzle and it wouldn't budge, so I guess it's ok.

I might just be compressor surge then. With the stock SC mine would only surge if I quickly released the throttle, but with the higher boost wheel it might be a little more on the edge even with gradual changes in throttle.

    I hope so!

I really have no S/C experience at all, just tryin to learn as I go. Don't even know what a surge sounds like

I'm just visualizing that RIVA wheel making all that pressure and apparantly it's not getting in the motor since fuel consumption is very low (2 gal). When the motor is in the water, it uses about 9 gal/hr at that RPM.

I'll try not to lose any sleep over it tonight lol. Gonna take it out tomorrow ::fingers crossed::

Not sure if it matters for a B1 wheel but...
On my E1 at 46psi of fuel pressure the motor ran like crap as I would expect. Turned up the pressure to 65 and it looks good to go for now.

Is that on the hose or in the water? Did the C3 wheel ever give you any problems on the hose?

I don't think that it is surge or fuel pressure...you are still on the trailer and it doesn't seem like the wheel could create enough boost for either of these to be the issue...IMO
I never heard surge on the trailer only in the water.

The shuddering sound, is it only when you let off the gas? Need more details.
