Need help with 2 RXP's Blown up in a month.

I blew up a 04 RXP and and 05 RXP in one month.
The 05 had a hole in the bottom of the case. I have not taken apart.
The 04 died on me while I was on vacation on the ocean wot.
I pulled the head apart and found the # 1 exhaust valve gone ( rear of the ski). The piston looks damage.
The sleeve is smooth no damage.
The mods on both skis are as follows:
08 Riva washers on SC with a Vortec wheel
    Riva Intake Grate
    RE block off.
    Gibson Exhaust
    4" Kanaflex
    Stock prop.
I have enclosed some pics of the pistons and head.
Please advice me if they are any good and what to do.
    Are these skis reliable????

    Thanks Roger

First we need to figure out why this happened! How many hours on the engine and do you ride in saltwater all the time? When you get the ski airborne do you let off the gas till you hook back up or not?

Really sorry to hear the bad news Roger.
    I feel your pain.
Seems that the stock 04 exhaust valves are prone to this.

I ride both salt and fresh.
When they blew up I was riding salt with about 1 foot chop.
The 05 has 35 hrs first ride for the seasons. (blew up )
The 04 has 75 hrs about 5 rides for this year. 3 rides fresh and 2 rides on salt. ( sea doo oil change at 4th ride before going on vacation.)

    Skoepp,

    Thanks
    How is your ski running?
My RXP did not make it to the surf, only on the bay.
My 2 XP's did real good on the surf. ( helmet and neck brace. )

I do let off the throttle while I am airbone.

Its not running yet? LOL I have been covered up at work as last 60 days is my busiest time of year, but should be back running as soon as i get time. Had to go with some oversized pistons as #2 was worn. Having to replace all oiling parts just to be safe as all had wear from rod bearing go thru.

I only have time to ride and not wrench this time of year so its been all T-X for the last 2 months when ever the chance has come. I got like 65 hours on the T-X. I miss my RXP big time, but dont want to cut any corners and it be stronger then was before the mishap.

Man, I am really sorry about your skis. You need to figure out why it happened before rebuilding 04 motor to ensure it does not happen again. I would guess in the case of 04 just faulty exhaust valve and with time it showed up.
NOt sure about the ski with 35 hours as that one you will know once it is torn apart.

    Skoepp,

The hard part is that I have all updated valves to put in,
But I didn't have time to replace them.
I need some of the Guru's to tell me what i need, like a new head,
can I change one piston and ring and do a slight hone, etc.

Send you pics of head to eric and he should be able to tell you if ok. I think might be ok from what i can see.
You need to get your cylinders mic,d to see what the wear is. Also inspect pistons for wear. That will determine what to do with that part.
Inspect crank and rods for damage and hope there is none.
You will need all new bolts and bearings.

INspect oil pick ups for wear.

Alot to look over but it is needed.
