Looking for a little input on cavitation

    My mods in my sig,
The prop has been played with, nozzles have been changed yet i still get cavitation on holeshot.
Least amount with an 82 nizzle but the holeshot kinda sucks,
some with 83 ,ALOT with 84.
Top speed and RPM change none with nozzle changes.
It does have an R&D grate on it.

Im gonna throw my stock grate back on to see how it works
I never had a cavitation problem using hte stock grate

What do you think hte outcome of hte stock grate install will be?

What rpm are you running when you say you dont have any rpm change with ring change.

I am just wondering if maybe you are on limiter and that is why you dont see any decrease. The x limiter is very tricky and you have to pay attention or you want even no it.

You should have atleast 20 rpm change between rings.

I am thinking you need more pitch if on limiter.

As far is cavitation, in my grate test on T-X the R and D showed the worse cavitation.

It does not hit the limiter riding at all,
If you go WOT,ONLY from a stop or a very slow roll,it bounces off the limiter trying a few time as it takes off.

I think you will have a hard time getting a R&D grate to work on a T-X. Its on the edge, cavitation wise on the PX and the extra weight of the TX does not help anything.

All you can do is try different grate for the cavitaion. I will agree that i dont see much difference in rpm change in changing ring sizes on T-X in fact is usually 20 to 40 rpm but you should see something going on. And yes speed change with that 20 to 40 rpm change are also minimal but do change in some tenths or so.

I dont like the 82 ring on T-X at all. I perfer the 83 or 84 ring.

Also running Erics deptiched top end blade should also help you with cavitaion.
