I prefer Amsoil synthetic, hope you removed your cat & clean your valve deposits. They can get gummed up , stick & break

Your valves will not stick or break because of the quicksilver. If that were the case, then I'd broke many a valves in the 10 years I've been using it.
You have any proof that the quicksilver will cause this? As part of your yearly maintenance you should take your valves out and clean them anyways, but then thats just me.
I've been running the regular quicksilver in my ski. I know they have a synthetic, but never tried it in my ski as the regular works for me and has for years.

Since you have the dplate in you can run it.

I've been running the Walmart super tech oil for the last 2 years with the cat installed.

If it were my ski I would take out the cat and install the d plate. If the cat gets clogged up or breaks apart it can take out your engine. If you take out the cat you can use whatever oil you want that meets the specs. You can still use the Yamaha oil or the AMSOIL Interceptor oil with the cat in with no issues. http://www.amsoil.com/redirect.cgi?z...storefront/ait
