    What's this GP1200R worth?

    I have always been a seadoo owner but recently convinced after riding a friends gp1200r to pick one up. I found one, a 2001, close to me but I am a little concerned about the 190 hours it has. Owner says he had the head rebuilt, converted to pre-mix, also has these list of mods:

    - Solas Prop
    - Shreadmaster Ride Plate
    - Shreadmaster Intake Grate
    - Rive Power Valves
    - Riva Nozzle
    - Rive Handlebars
    - D Plate
    - Free Flow Exhaust
    - Hydroturf

    What would you say this ski is worth?

    head rebuilt what does that mean?

    top end
    pistons, rings, pins and little end bearings.

    then the seller should say top end rebuilt.

    and list NEW installed parts

    the head and water jacket could have been replaced?

    not for a general top end, if the head is pitted from debris, then milling and cc-ing is all that is needed. dunno though, every rebuild is different and every seller has a story to tell. some funnier than others

    I'd throw him an offer of $2500 with trailer, $2000 without.

    Depending on the hull condition, I would have to agree.
    With 190 hours, that crank 'could" let go at any time. Then again, it could last another 100 or more hours. If it had 100-125, 3K would not be out of the question.
    PS,
    Have the carbs been gone through yet?

    I think you would be better of with an EFI GP1300R if you could find one with low hours.

    Spend an extra couple grand and buy a gp1300r, carbs (in general) come out of tune and as a result motors (in general) dont run like they should. especially with multiple carbs. Thats why back in the olden days muscle cars that came with multi carbs were swapped out for a big single.

    Plus doesnt 1300R sound so much cooler than 1200R?
