    Bogging at around 5k rpm after D-Plate + Jetworks.

    I finally got the ski running, with the dplate and jetworks. I set the valve to open at around 3k. I couldnt really test it that well, because I just did 2 quick runs in the idle zone, but at around 5k it boggs, and it seems like thats when the valve opens, rather than 3k.

    So basically, do I need an EFI to stop the bogg?

    Does it have the stock air box and sound suppresion on. ?

    Do I need to fix it right away?
    What are my options for fixing, besides an EFI?

    So you did confirm it opens at 3000rpms ? Is this the one that melted the plastic box ? What other mods ? Did you change the spark plugs ?

    THe water comes out of the hose at 3-3.5k on the trailer.
    Yes it is the one that melted the ss box.
    The only other mod besides the jetworks and the dplate is a grate.
    I have not changed the spark plugs.
    And finally it turned out that the box melted because the hose going from the pump to the transom had come off, and no water was getting in.

    Why would just the jetworks and D-plate make it run lean?? You can check if it has anything with the opening of the jetworks valve by taking the spring, etc out of the jetworks valve, water will then free flow and should be like normal, if it still bogs then its not the jetworks... I would change the plugs on it.

    You really need to check it in the water. I have never been able to get the correct flow on the trailer/hose. Put it in the water. Remove the seat with the valve disconnected and hang it overboard. Then slowly accel and note the rpms.

    OK I will do that.
    Should I be worried about the bogg?
    COuld it go away as the system gets used to the DPlate?
