    4" air filter mod

On MPowers 4" air mod is everyone using the SS Spectre filter or the regular ones? I can get the SS thatís 6" long for $49 or the chrome one for $29 thatís 6" or 10" long. If I can get the 10" filter for less I don't see any reason not to and if it does not hold up I'll just replace it. It should be rated at a higher cfm so it would have less vacuum on the sc.

I still don't have a manual to show me how to take the top off my hull to do this. Ordered one online but it did not the cover IS models.

    Later, Ken

If you're gonna put a filter on the intake make sure it's completely outa stainless....no cotton/fabric ect.

The cheaper one has cotton fiber in it. Check out the the Kawasaki filter for a 250X, RIVA air filter on GH. I have the Spectre one. Claims to be SS, but it must be pretty cheap SS, if you know what I mean. Also, have seen a cheaper Spectre after about six months, not pretty. The last RIVA filter I had held up great and if I did it again, I would go that way before the Spectre filter for the same price.

Ok Thanks for the info. I'll go with the SS Spectre because it's a 4" and the Riva's a 3". I wonder what brand filter the Riva is?

    +1 Thats the one. Thanks.

Don't run the sock on the filter unless you really have to.
