Question Riva Red Pipe on Raider?

    Hey everyone,

Quick question about a 96 Raider (61x motor). If I'm trying to squeak out a little more performance without changing heads or going to a dual carb setup, so would the addition of a Riva Red pipe help at all? I guess there would be some carb re-jetting required. Would aftermarket flame arrestors work well with an exhaust pipe and otherwise stock setup?

Any suggestions (constructive of course ) are welcomed!

Red pipe dumps in the front....of the engine Bay...but I guess if you could fab something up it would help. They "factory pipe" make a MOD pipe for the raider...and it's an amazing gain..but costs $

I used to run one and my old 94 purple hull ran just shy of 58mph with it and other goodies

What do you mean it dumps in the front of the engine bay? As in, it just stops in the front?

I've seen a factory pipe come up once in a while, but it does seem kinda expensive.

It's a blaster pipe...and exists in front of the engine vs the back

There was a red pipe made for the xl/raider/venture 701 riva part number RY1511 this pipe did exit in the rear. Not sure if your talking about this pipe or another riva pipe

Hmm...never seen that "red" pipe before. All of them I've ever seen are for the blasters...interesting!

That's the one! But is it only for dual carbs? Cause that might be a problem..

It's designed for a 62T engine....which is slightly different then the 61X single carbs....
