    Drive Shaft ..Gap? Need an Expert opinion.

    Can someone look at this pic and tell me if this is normal for the drive shaft to have a gap before the impeller boot ...the way i see it the shaft is only going in the impeller about 3/4 of an inch is this normal ...this is the way I got it from original owner....Ive seen a white plastic insert that goes to some is that what is missing here? It does not show on the parts specs. Could use a little expertise

    Welcome to the forum In looking at your picture... it appears that your motor has shifted forward, possibly from running into something or broken motor mounts. Take a good look at the mounts... what ski is this (year - model) If you continue to run it this way... your going to strip out your impeller and drive shaft splines
