Sea-Doo is possibly re-designing there wear rings!!

I chewed up a wear ring on my new 06 RXP with only 25hrs on it! so i go to the dealer and ask if he can order me one. So he called me back and said they are on back order with no release dates . He said he was told that Sea-Doo/BRP is remaking our wear rings , they are making them a stronger compound plastic!! if this is the case that would awesome but im still out of a wear ring. To my next point does anybody know were i can get the SS wear ring and do i have to do the triple bearing mod!!! i hope not!!

SS wear ring from Skat Trak.

I ran the ss ring for a long time with a stock pump. No problems!

I just got a new wear ring from the dealer last week for an 05. Unless the 06 pump is different there full of it.

I hear they have partnered with JB-Weld and they aren't actually redesigning them they have taken a collection of over a million of the used ones and are just coating them with JB-Weld which and gives them a 75hour pump life.

I have 3 sitting in my garage. I'm going to come up with something.... Almost JB-Welded a groove that got cut into one of mine but I think I'm going to think about it for a little bit first. I'm scured to do the SS. I swallow alot of sticks sometimes and I'm afraid it's going to put too much pressure on my blades or pump.... Swallowed a walnut once and that would have done some real damage to my blades.

    Also swallowed something metal once....

    Lord of the rings

Guys I'm not sure what to do here. Can you help? I have a standard wear ring on my boat. It has 25 hours on it. I've only had one thing caught in my prop area and that was a small chunk of softwood. Where I ride there is not a lot of stuff to pick up. Do I order two or three wear rings and stock them or do I iron clad my boat and set up SS ring with all the add ons to feel 100% confident?
