Problem on the water today, running on only 2 cylinders on a gpr!!

Hey guys, ok I was riding today and I hit a wave, and all the sudden the ski like slows down, and starts vibrating. I am scared now b/c I am far from the ramp, I manage to go slow all the way there. I take of my seat and the top part of the spark plug has come off on the #1 cylinder.

I can only assume I was running on 2 cylinders the entire time back, so I took it out and screwed the top part back onto the spark plug and the ski started and idled normal again, but it was out of the water so I couldnt check how it ran. SO I am going to buy new plugs this week, and hopefully all should be good.

My question is, do you think I hurt something by running on those 2 cylinders going slow the whole way back? Do you think I need to do anything else before I take it on the water again?

Well you should.....as long as teh problem was just a lead popping off.

I always keep three x-tra plugs in my storage box, they are in little red plug holder capsules (bought at acadamy store boat section) you must have fractured the plug on installation previous to your ride. change plugs and go ride...you should be ok...dont forget a small bit of anti seize on the threads.

    lol, it WAS momentarily

as for the plug off, that cannot hurt as there is still fuel / oil mixture flowing through the cylinder, so lubrication is still protecting the piston / bore / crank.

    should be fine
