    Help with a stripped bolts.

Can any one give me ideas how to remove the stripped bolts?
These are the one that are under the 8 caps on the bottom of the motor.
    I was using the E 14 socket.

    Thanks

99% certain they are 12mm 12point not E-14. Maybe the 12point will still get them off ?

    MRBTD,

It's the six point I am looking at it now.

    MRBTD,

I did try my 12 point x 11mm and was still slipping.

    Thanks

if you cant grip them you will probably have to try channel locks. are you sure they're metric? May try tapping a 10 onto the head of the bolt....

Roger, that sucks even more, i striped out one on my motor when trying to remove. These are a pita as there sunk. Try an impact with different size sockets. Try finding a socket that is very tight and hammar on.
I ended up having to drill mine off which was a big pita.

Glad you got it. I think this must be a problem and needs to be noted to those that are trying to remove those bolts.
I think since are strecth bolts, they are hard to get to budge. I dont think is a thread issue locking up as once i drilled mine off and split cases I was able to remove the rest of the bolt with my fingers so was not locked up.
I think it is very important to be sure and have a very good bite from the beginning and not ever get the bolt started to strip.
