    Sponsons

I'm looking for some direction on purchasing new sponsons. I still have the original installed on my ski, 95% of the time I'm riding the ocean and am looking for a little more stability.

Many have made their own sponsons for your hull. Check with Danny on this site, I think ne makes some too.

I have heard they are really difficult to install because you have to remove the foam from the inside of the hull.

Nope, you don't need to remove the foam. I just made my own set and replaced them about a month ago. You only have to remove the muffler and the battery. There are tunnels in the foam. I can't remember the socket size, but it isn't too hard to get done with those 2 things removed. I just broke my starboard side this weekend, I should have used HDPE or some other poly, the ABS just can't handle the stress.

Different story on the XP Its a pita, the tunnels aren't big enough. Took about 4 hours a side but that was also running to the hardware store multiple times. The first set of stainless hardware I bought was Chinese trash and broke when I tightened it by hand grrrr.
