    RXP-X -08 Speed Limiter ?

    Hello!

Im new to the forum to share my experience with all of you, and also get alot of important info about my new machine i just bought last week (Rxp-X).

As i told, i bought myself a Sea-Doo RXP-X from a guy who shipped it to sweden (where i live) from the US!

There is a RIVA Stage 1 kit installed on the machine, and it's just wonderful compared to my RX!

But there is one thing im wondering.
The machine, wont reach over 70Mph, No matter what it wont get over to 71!

The RXP together with a Stage 1 kit is told to be reaching up to 72 mph, so why wont my RXP-X with stage 1 reach over 70?

So obviously there got to be a limiter?

Is there one and is there a smart way to loosing it in any way?

get a gps. the ski's speedO is never right. you need to gps it to see your true speed.

Well, what i meant is that im wondering what this Limiter is, and where it is placed. In the ECU or what?

Because im pretty sure this machine isnt slower than 70mph.

There is no speed limiter on a 08 RXPX. The speedo just stops at 70mph. You need a GPS to get your true speed.

I know what you mean Get a GPS to find out you your speed. Ive seen 70mph on my boats speedo when i know it tops out at 53mph. never go by the skis speedo.

You can be going 80 mph but the stock speedo will never say more than 70 mph.
