    Starting Issues

Ok so I have the 720 Factory Pipe and R&D Flame Arrestors on my ski. The runs mint know and idles great the first time started. If you shut the ski off and wait about 10 secs, you have to keep crnking it to fine start and then when you give it gas nothing. Takes about 30 secs of giving it gas because it will take off and then runs mint and idles great again.

I have rejetted the carbs, springs and pop off pressure and LSA & HSA adjustments according to Factory Pipe.

I've tried playing with the LSA in both directions and nothing makes a difference. Below is the settings I have.

    Main Jet : 140
    Pilot Jet : 75
HSA: 1/4 turn out from closed
LSA : 1 turn out from closed
    Needle & Seat : 1.2 Stock setup
    Spring : 65 gram
    Pop Off- 44 PSI

Maybe your needle and seat isnt sealing off properly and letting fuel through and flooding the engine when you try to restart. Sometimes they dribble fuel through when they dont seat properly.

I put brand new needles and seats in the carbs. They seemed to be sealing perfect when I did the pop off pressure test

What are your spark plugs gapped at?

Have you tried slighly cracking the throttle while cranking and see if she starts?

The plugs are gapped at whatever the shop manual said. Can't remember off the top of my head.

The thing starts and idles mint the first time started. When you shut it down and try to restart it no matter what you do takes about 20-30 secs of cranking to start and then will die if you don't blip the throttle. Then it you give it throttle it does go anywhere. Blip the throttle for about 20 secs and then she takes off and idles and runs mint until you shut her down again

Check the clear mica check valves in the fuel pump block for cracking and proper seating. Also the rubber nipple that locates them can come out. Check the pulse line too for cracks.

It sounds like a low fuel pressure issue to me.

Ok I just rebuilt the carbs completely and it ran mint before I installed the factory pipe. The only thing I did to the carbs when I installed the pipe was rejet and change the HSA & LSA to Factory Pipe Specs.

I will check the pulse hose to the block again to and see if that helps

Yeah, try it. They can screw up or crack at any time.

Hopefully thats it because I'm at a lose with testing stuff. Everything else test perfect.

Make sure you didn't melt the coupler on the midpipe too. I melted mine, and chased a poor performance hard-starting problem a long time before I found it. Also, it would only spray water when going wot.
