    fuel shut off valve

    does the fuel shut off valve totaly shut off the fuel flow or just release lin pressure? while replacing the fuel lines inmy 97 slt 780 i noticed you can blow threw the valve in both positions ( on, off ). But the pressure is greatly reduced in the off position. Bad valve or working wright? Thanks

    Bad valve. It should close completely in the off position.

    right.

    Or you have a poorly clamped hose.

    Time for a new one.

    They're around $15, but I think you need to buy the Sea Doo ones now, since they are discontinued...

    This might be useful - there would be a different part for the ON-OFF valve vs the ON-OFF-Reserve valves;
    Where can I get a replacement fuel selector valve (On-Off-Reserve)?
    If your fuel selector valve is leaking air into the fuel system, you will have problems. Refurbish the valve seals, or replace the valve.
    The Polaris selector valve is no longer available, but the 1995 Yamaha Wave Blaster Fuel Selector valve may be a good replacement

    The 95 wave blaster valve has a reserve port. The slt 780 only had on and off.
