    97 slt 780

Well i have gotten alot of info from here so i should post some info and pics of my new toy. It a 97 slt 780 picked it up cheap with blown engine. I disassembled it to find the P.O. had it appart and put it back together with high temp RTV. Well the RTV was applied way to much!! It squeezed out and blocked the water jacket holes in the cylinders and exhaust. Well with the info on this forum i am going to rebuild and hopefully have som fun before fall. Im just waiting on parts now.
I have done the following- oil blockoff plate -clean carbs-cylinders bored to 1mm over-all new gaskets- new fuel lines-drained fuel tank- new fuel filter Is there anything else i should look at? Thanks Russ

    Welcome to the Hulk Russ.

Be sure to inspect the petcock too.

Did you open the back side of the carbs? That's where the internal filters are.

Check out the Sea Doo petcocks since Polaris discontinued them.

The on/off position may be different, but they should work.
