how wet is the ride with out the splash guard? I have one on mine but I still get wet alot. Some friends that have watched me ride and have ridden it. Think the splash guard is acting like a brake when nosing into big wakes or rollers. It will pratically throw you into the bars if your not prepared for it. Maybe that is just a trait of the raiders. I haven`t talked with any one else that has one, to see if they have a similar experience.

I get soaked regularly - the splash is really annoying when it obscures visibility, which happens quite often. I've had to duck and turn my head when heading home once, and have an arm up to shield my face. Granted it was only once, but it was damned annoying, and not to mention hard to steer. Everyone seems to like having splash guards, and says the OEM ones are pretty good. I don't like the looks of the hydro-turf or jet trim ones.

I need a better pair of riding glasses too. And I don't mind the bump - what kind of splash guards are you using?
