virage tx carb problem
i have a virage tx 2001 . carb model . i noticed today when i was working on it that the middle carb didn't spray from the jet. and it was running like it was missing or rough. changed the plugs and pulled the middle " t " jet but was unable to clear it . i tried compressed air with a ball inflater needle , soaking it in carb cleaner , but nothing. so now i am letting it sit overnight in the carb cleaner.
has anyone had this problem before , and if so how did you solve it , short of buying the new piece. ??? and can you get them seperatly???
thanks a bunch KENT

are we talking about the accl pump nozzle??its brass and sprays fuel into the top of the carb??if so theres a check ball and spring in side it,you can only blow thru it thru the plastic tee end only,i have taken them apart but be careful and don't lose the steel ball inside

yes i believe we are talking about the same piece. i don't see how it comes apart ???? looks like it is a molded peice or maybe pessure fit together. i do have air going tru it now , using a basket ball needle to direst air into the branched off piece. going to hook it up tomorrow , and see if it works . do these normally need to be replaced ????

i have also noticed i have the grey tempo lines everyone keeps saying to change . so now the question is , to what ???? does the line to be able to carry a certain pressure??? should i do both oil , and fuel . i have zip ties around all my connections !! is this correct or should it be a spring clamp ??? is clear better or still go with some solid color. any idea where i can get new hose in canada ( canadian tire , auto zone , etc.....)

the lines on the carb that are zip tied are fine leave them alone, the grey lines from the tank and back are the ones to replace.i used black 1/4" fuel line from a auto store

I used the Goodyear brand from auto zone. Good for up to 50 psi, flexable (not stiff) easy to work with.
