SPORTSTER WANT TO INSTALL X Model Supercharger

    I have a 05 sportster 215hp I want rebuild my SC.

Option 1. Purchase the riva gen2 impellar and 08 spec rebuild kit.

Option 2. Purchase the complete X Model Supercharger.

I would like more power my boat does 55mph gps if I could get 60mph id be happy.

I want reliability I dont plan on keeping this boat forever. But I need to address the SC issue I am only reving 7600rpms and the boat has 75 hours on it.

If I go with option 1 what else is required? The dealer quoted me $400 labour. I would tackle it myself but I have no time.

If I go with option 2. Is it easier to just install the new SC rather then rebuilding my old one? If I do this optin I will have a spare SC I Like that idea. What else do I need for this a pump wedge? Or a new impellar? Air Fuel guage? Stock ecu ok? Bigger injectors?

I just added an X Charger to my 07 RXT, all you need is 42# injectors. I gained 440 RPM, have not been able to GPS yet.

I'd go with a RRFPR for fueling. If you end up adding an external intercooler you will need it. It is better for adjustability and makes your ski more adaptable to future mods.

yes this is a good setup i ran this same setup for most of the summer till i went bigger and added a xs IC, just put some 42's and the X charger in and u will gain a good mid range and about 2-3 mph on the top end, might even need to repitch the prop.

from what i've read, If you dont touch the intake air or IC, then 42 inj's and your done..although i'd free flow or thru hull exhaust to get it out quicker and avoid deto. If you add any air mods you have to rrfpr and more, according to guys who've measured afr.

I'd do the x, 42's, and thru hull and go have fun.

    Thanks for the help guys......

Yeah I kinda am leaning towards the X SC because it is an addiction right. If I want more power later I have the right foundation to say... I am coming over to the dark side

I am from Canada and I have been in the water when it is cold cold how does cold weather affect the reliability if I go with this SC and keep everything else stock.

From my understanding I get the X SC , #42 injectors, 15/20R prop , rrfrf (this is suppose to be some sort of fuel regulator adjustment thing is this needed?) Jerry suggested it. I guess I could get an air fuel ratio guage. anything else I need?

I drive my boat hard but not as hard as you guys drive your skis

What is this exhaust you talk about.

I guess for my current SC to rebuilt cost would be $850 plus shipping with the riva gen2

X SC would be $1300 with the rrfr and the injectors

The only thing holding me back is the reliability I dont want to run lean or rich and I dont know how long I am going to keep this boat I just need to address the SC issue options options options

15-20r prop would be to big for your boat.

I agree with Austin... a 15/20 will probably be a bit much. Do all the mods you have in mind and then pitch your current prop accordingly. If you end up needing a new prop, a 14/19 will probably be close to dead on.
