Big Scare On The Water. Engine Problems.

Was me and my brother went for a trip around the lake, on the way back I was at 7350 rpm and it started to act up, the rpms droped to 7000 then it started to misfire bad then it died.

Steam was coming out the engine bay. I took the seat off and the stock reservoir was empty, well I have a small can for over flow screwed next to the stock can with a hose going to each other, the stock can still had pressure in it so I knew I didnt blow a hose or nothing, just overheated and boiled it all out into the other can and out its cap. (Has pin hole on cap) so I refilled the stock res and emptyed the little one into the stock one.

Then after it cooled I tryed to start it and it kept just firing on one cylinder and I thought I blew out the rings or melted something so I pulled the seats back off and saw the coilpacks on top of the spark plugs had come completely out, like they got blown out, I cant figure out what the hell happen to them, how they came out.

Well I put them in and fired it up with relief, then it was fine, I rode it by myself for the rest of the day ( longest I have ever rode it so far )

    My wish list;
    Open loop cooling system JD
    RAD4 Drive shaft seal

Another long post. Thanks for reading.

That is odd. Are the spark plugs tight?

ok I pulled out all the plugs, #2 (center) had alot of oil in the hole, it came 1/2 way up the spark plug, they where all tight.
I put my finger down the tube and cranked it and the compression pushed my finger so hard it scared me and I jumped pulling my finger away
all the cylinders did the same.

Can you snap a pic of the #2 plug? Maybe the sealing washer is bad or a cracked head around the threads. When you say 1/2 way up with oil do you mean the threaded part or 1/2 up the plug itself?

Dont have cam now, and I mean I had oil in the spark plug hole with the plug still in, it has to be a bad valve cover seal.

If your over flow bottle blows coolant out the tube into the hull (or other can u have ) then you probably have a blown head gasket. It probably only boils out after WOT runs right?

Those metal plug tube seals are bad under the valve cover, or the cover isn't tightened down enough to seal them.

The missfire may be from coolant hitting the plugs from a bad head gasket.

Might wanna check compression on your cyls to be sure.

Its the seal, it came out

The missfire may be from coolant hitting the plugs from a bad head gasket. It was from the plug wires poping out, as I said I found the 2 rear plug wires laying on top of the vavle cover.

Might wanna check compression on your cyls to be sure.
I'll check in the morning, THX.

Yeah I forgot to say, but I did and it was good.

I will be fixing the driveshaft seal this weekend I cant figure out what I want to do, align-carbon seal, or RAD4 seal.

I will go get the compression reading now. brb.
