Whats the risk of not running a thermostat on a 700-780

Just curious. I know it has something to do with the way you backflush one. But being in the warmer climate it shouldn.t hurt anything... Right??

You'll be ok without the t'stat. Just pinch off the water outlet hose if you reverse flush it.

Keep the plunger and spring in the cooling rail though.

Odd, group K told me the opposite. I took everything out of my buddy's 95 SLX when I did the top end and it is fine. Just have to idle around and let it get up to temp before you jump on the gas.

in ma you are driving in liquid ice most of the time, I would try to keep the thermostat. I have a 750 cooling rail here you can have if you want parts.

    here in NC
once we hit February, our water is in teh high fifties, so i have no problem running without a thermo

I've heard both, I took everything out of my wifes sl650, but my Pops left the plunger and spring in his 96 slx780
