    Impeller Question

I sold the Solas out of my 98 GSXL and I have 2 stock props in my parts I was wondering which one is better for a 98 GSXL with PROk's and Bens jetting bored 1.0 mm over no other mods?

    271000907 or 271000818

I can not find what those are off of and the only cross referrence I found said that they were both supperseded by the 920.

The 920 (and later 923) is the standard 155mm prop for the 947 powered boats. It is possible that the pitch is slightly different. Either way, you should be able to run both.

I would suggest sending one of them to Dave and Impros and tell him what you are running it on, what you weigh, and what you want it to do. Then have him do "The Works" on it. Put the other one on and enjoy the rest of the season.

I will probably send one out. I just didnt know if there was a difference and which one I might want to try first. The concord seemed to pull the RPMS down in my GSXL to 6450 and it only did about 56 MPH I am hoping one of the stock ones will get the RPMs and speed back to about 61 or so.

I would recommend trying the prop before sending it to Impro's. That way you will be able to say that it is turning "x" rpm and you want it to turn approximately 6950 RPM. Impro's will have a much better shot at getting you what you want if they know what the prop is doing now.

-907 is similiar to a --920 -- It came in a few 98 GTXLs. The -818 is similiar to a -905 -- -818 and -905 both were used in the 98 GSXL as stock impellers-- I have a number of each on the shelf.

-907 w/ 84 mm nozzle-- your 87 mm is too large for the -907.
