    RXT stalls after wot

After it warms up I have to hold the throttle about a 1/4 open for it to idle. Has a Riva stage 1 kit.

    Thanks

    Chad

It sounds like you may have a bad or sticking Idle stepper. I would start by removing the throttle body takeing it apart and cleaning it and its components. I would also have the dealer plug the ski into BUDS and make sure the TPS is set right.

Thanks, its my dads ski i'm pretty good with motors but all the ones I work on have carbs (I got 2 ultra 150s) fuel injection is new to me, what is a idle stepper? what does it look like? we are done taking the ski to the dealers they suck around here and charge way to much $$$$. I do all the work on my skis, I am going to start doing all the work on his skis (love my ultra but it is a dieing, breed eventually I will end up with 2 rxp-x's). What is a BUDS? Where can I buy one?

    Thanks

    Chad

The idle stepper is bad, what can I do to get by this weekend? Can I just spin it in all the way, then turn up the idle?

NO, the idle is not adjustable, and BUDS is a dealer's software program used to diagnose, and can re-set your throttle position sensor. Pull the hose off the throttle body, and the wires, then remove the throttle cable, and the (4) E-8 torx bolts. Clean all parts, and re install to see if it helps.

plastic on the inside of the idle stepper is cracked the plunger spins freely in and out. Will it be alright for the weekend? Will it lean anything out? dont want to put any holes in pistons. Is it ok to just hold the throttle open for the rest of the weekend?

I think it acts like an electric choke. So u should be ok, maybe find a way to hold it in the up position it would work better. Just get it ordered soon and swap it out.
