Epoxy in oil hole on supercharger housing? Should this be?

Im rebuilding the charger in my rxp and on the rear housing part that slips inside the engine, there is a hole (I assume its an oil feed hole). This hole has been epoxied closed. Should it be like this or should I remove the epoxy. Its making 13.1 psi @8150 if that matters. Thanks.

Im using the 08+ kit with riva washers.

That hole is there for added oil to reach the rear bearing. Many people had issues with the oil seal leaking due to this added hole and blocked it. You will be fine leaving it blocked, however... I would remove the epoxy and tap out the hole and then install a stainless set screw with red loctite on it. Thats how I did mine... there's a long thread on here somewhere talking about this... try doing a search for it if you interested.

Thanks big daddy. I did a seach and read a lot about the x chargers have oil leaking issues. Everything I read seemed half the people blocked the hole and others said there was no need to. It was a little confusing.. haha.

Again, thanks for the help and ill put a set screw in it. That epoxy had me a little worried.

Take the epoxy out, it will not hold, and leave it open. See if it leaks, if so, then block the hole. I have one, it's open, no leaks for 30 hours.
