I was told that sea doo will cover if washers fail. I have a new 2006 want to know what is up

I've never heard that before. What do you mean by "new '06"; that will be a 4 yr. old model soon. If you haven't already done so, you really need to check the thread regarding inherent flaws w/ SC washers. Check the link on the left side of the screen "Supercharger Info."

I was able to take my 07 right back to the dealer and have the washers replaced before my cermamic ones failed. If you still have a warranty on the 06 Id ask the dealer to change them out. Generally they will. Its a quick job and its a known flaw by BRP and the dealers. Sadly, evently they will fail and you are going to have a mess if you dont end up changing them.

John, your dealer is right, BRP is not going to "fix" your machine until
AFTER it breaks. However, you need to talk to your dealer about replacing those washers because they can destroy your engine!
I can tell you some dealers will react differently to this; our closest dealer was a real jerk about it, and told me they would be happy to replace the ceramics but that it would void my warranty! I went back to the other local dealer where we got our skis, and they said NO PROBLEM, WE DO IT ALL THE TIME and we stand behind our work! They were VERY familiar with the problem and told me as long as they purchased the washers from Riva and they installed them everything would be okay. Over 300 hours later and I have never lost a washer.
