    Finding TDC

What is the simplest way to find TDC on these 4-tech engines? Need to make sure valves are closed to do a boost leak down test.

Leave the pump in place and remove the venturi and pump cone. Then use a 12 mm allen socket on an extension to turn the pump/crankshaft to where you need it.

Thanks Jerry! That sounds better than what I had in mind. What are you using to tell where #1 piston is at and how long does it have to be?

i use a long skinny screwdriver and stick it down in the spark plug hole. I rotate the crank back and forth until i find the point the screwdriver is at its highest point. Be careful doing it this way as the screwdriver can get jammed up in there if you don't hold it just right.
