How long is this? Time, distance?

    Where does it go to?

    Any accommodation nearby?

There are hotels in both Perth and Smiths Falls that are within driving distance. It covers most of the Big Rideau and goes to Poonamalie lock on the lower Rideau.

Just Google Big Rideau Lake, and the links should show you the area.

About 3 1/2 hours drive from Toronto along the 401.

    In Google Maps enter
    Rideau Ferry Drummond/North Elmsley, ON
and it should take you to the correct address.

It also works in Google Earth. You can see the marina there.

Looks like we are coming to this thing

Making a full weekend out of it, driving down the 401 on Friday.

Might spend Saturday riding on the Saint Lawrence.
Any tips on good launch locations, or places to tour?

I suppose I should actually book a pair of ride tickets for Sunday too

This might be a little late, but the best place I've been so far in Ottawa is the Ottawa river. Nice view of parliment, some really neat man made waterfalls beside parliment that are maybe half the size of Niagra and a good view the Rideau locks. If I end up going to the Poker Run, I'll try to show you. I'm working midnights all weekend. Till Monday morning!
