Has anyone painted the trim on their Sea Doo, and had it last?

I'm talking about stuff like the oil cap, the gas cap, or the rear grab bar. I have a 96 GSX, and those parts are yellow and faded. Is there any type of paint I can use to restore them, or is anything I put on there going to flake off? Thanks!

Used Rustoleum plastic paint on all my plastics, handle bar cover and grab handle on my 98 xpl. Still holding up after 2 years. Prepped the plastic with brake cleaner.

try heating with a heat gun. Sometimes the plastic will shine thru again.

Awesome idea, thanks! I was kinda thinking of changing the color scheme, painting the yellow parts black, etc. Would this heat gun trick work on the rubber bumper stuff that surrounds the hull?
