What to do to 1200 XLT....
I might keep the 1200 XLT. What would be the best bang for the buck?

You would have to spend a lot on money to get the XLT to keep up with your RXT.
There are a few guys with XLTs that have them running well. I would search for posts by or contact Smitty. He can get you headed in the right direction.

Oh I would not want it to compete with the RXT for sure. No way.
Something simple to wake it up a bit since it is completely stock.

Look at my signature below, just a bunch of bolt-ons. Made a 5-6 MPH improvement over stock. Add a head, ride plate mod and impeller and your there with an RXT with a lot of $$$$$ in your pocket. Fastest I;ve seen for a tripple piper is 76. I'd guess it'd cost about 1K$ -1500 to compete with and maybe surpass a stock RXT. Expensive, but reasonable.
Best bang is the R&D rideplate, grate, and impeller - they'll easily fet it over 60 for about 500 bucks.

THanks for the info. I got off my lazzy azz and looked up riva parts and saw their stage 1, SO expensive!

Don't look to RIVA. Call Carl at islandracing.net, the RIVA bang/buck is a joke. You can get all the stage one for half that price using Carl and the board. The two musts are the intake grate and ride plate, the impeller is more for response. I've seen guys selling stock and modded plates in the past few weeks.

I guess those 3 parts would interest me then since I want a bit more top speed, but mostly I want better throtle response.

Yeah, definately the Ride Plate and Intake Grate like snowrunner said. Then look for a 13/19 (but a head would accomodate better). If you are looking for more TOP speed, i have an R&D rideplate with angle mod for sale. $225 shipped. The plate alone cost $155 plus shipping from R&D and the mod was about $250 (if I remember correctly).

THanks for the offer, I will keep it in mind. Hopefully if you still have it next month I will be able to afford it! Right now Im having the hull on my RXT trued and that will set me back $850+
