    Mods and Speeds

    Thought this might help some out there. This is pretty much the steps I did on my ski.

    '06 GPR stock = 64mph

    Modded riva plate,800 grate, stepped sponsons = 67-68mph 7200rpms
    PPK, dynfly 14/20 = 70.2mph 6880rpms

    D-plate,race F/A, EFI controller = 72mph 7080rpms
    Riva heads trim all the way up&superman = 73.1mph 7100rpms

    Added package,VF3 reeds, but had a handling
    problem, could not superman or trim up
    and still running the riva plate = 74.2mph 7240rpms

    14/22 prop but still had problems (bounce) = 74.5mph 7150rpms

    Tried Free flow tube = 73.1mph 7080rpms

    Put Sound suppression back in and found my = 76.4mph 7130rpms
    handling problem

    Added Keyway and more plate/tabs adjustment
    for full superman position = 77.8mph 7200rpms

    Awesome for the minimal mods made to ski... My 06 gpr was 66.0 with only d-plate added. Then installed 1200 r&d grate, trued R&D ride plate and trim tabs puts me at 68.3 gps here in 95 degree florida heat.

    You got me into this and I've just begun. I'm looking for 70. Status (in order):

    Installed & Tested:
    -Stepped Sponsons -(20 min for bolt cleanup & dremel) Noticable handling & lift improvement.

    -R&D PPK(w/Shims), holes filled(I'll do better next time) & 1200 grate. -Huge improvement in hookup & go.

    Installed but not yet tested: (looking for allignment comments on pics)
    -R&D D-Plate (PIA dis / assembly)
    -R&D 1300 Ride Plate

    I'm a BIG fan of acceleration vs top speed and considering the 87mm+ Noz.

    My conditions are about to change substantially(smooth water & low air temps) and I'll ride a while with this setup before adding EFI?????

    When I had the 14/20 prop on it was a rocket on acceleration and this was before the keyway. After running several other skis at mudbug I didn't think it was too bad with the 14/22 either Don't know what the 87mm nozzle would do, but I beleive it would be a little quicker out of the hole.
